haha I like the idea of not finishing a book cause you're annoyed at the age of the writer.

You're so hilarious and honest, Edith. I like that I don't know what you look like. Almost every artist I admire is younger than me so that's no problem....... but if you're also a 9 or 10, I won't be able to take it and am going to have to unfollow. 🤣😂😂

I’m a 10!!!!!!

I still love you!

I read this as "...if you're also 9 or 10...", which maybe _is_ young enough to resent all of Edith's achievements!

Honestly the gall of writers who are 10+ years younger than me. Like you don’t even know…………..(how much I admire your talent and ability to get published)

Loling at the "is this unisex?" three times 😂 I felt like I was with you during this experience. Also the book Perfume has been on my shelf for years so now I'm thinking I should finally pick it up and read it!

lol thanks you. And definitely give it a try!!

I put Perfume on hold in the Libby app. Looking forward to it.

Lost Lambs WAS so fun! Do you think the Perfume one is a safe thriller to give to an almost 80yo ex-Marine, conservative grandpa for his birthday?

Fascinating question. Depends on the guy. It's a sexy/sickening "immoral" romp through murder for the purpose of scent acquisition, which ends up making sense and being exciting. And intoxicating. I never wanted it to end, but it also ended at the perfect time. It was super weird. I loved it. I'm not sure it's great birthday gift, but it's also definitely a classic; it came out in the '80s.

Probably too much for Grandpa, but sounds good for me! Thanks!!

Dissolution by CJ Sansom randomly comes to mind. A fun historical thriller!
