We have many of the Great Ones in our yard! They have chosen to join some of our flower beds, but as you say, mostly poking up somewhere unlikely. When we noticed the first one years ago, furry leaves as you describe, we were curious to see where it was going, which was UP. Very tall plant, very small payoff if you are waiting for a showy bouquet of petals at maturity. We don't dig them up, neither do we particularly, you know, dig them.
This installment made me laugh out loud. Yesterday I felt like the plant in your driveway. Brilliant.
Thank you, Megan!
BTW King's Hand is insane!
Right?! I love it so much
She’s a good companion for the lungs, dried into tea leaves.
