I did what I thought was a really nice drawing of a family member's iguana, sent it to them and they did the SAME thing! "Yeah, he's great" - nothing about the drawing. I was going to frame it and give it to them as a gift but I just filed it after that. I feel like a pouty child about it, so seeing this was really reassuring (that I'm not alone).
I'm dying laughing at this. (WITH this.) Also, I bet that dang iguana picture was amazing!!! Maybe the iguana itself noticed it and has been trying to write you an email for ages
okay if anybody sent me anything handmade i would be like "omg this is amazing!" even if it wasn't that amazing. i can't imagine just...totally not mentioning such a thing at all, like if somebody dared me to not mention it it would have to be for a decent sum of cash and i would literally lose sleep over it lol.
plus, i looked at the drawing and it's actually legit wonderful so this is a complete mystery to me!

i made a beautiful baby quilt for my niece but she never acknowledged it! i finally resorted to asking her mom if she had received it. She said yes, but she never sent a thank you note or email. She just had any baby and i’m not making another quilt.
reminds me of when my parents greeted me with " Wasn't Kartherina Mueller wonderful" after I starred as King Winter in the second grade Play Change of the Seasons. Mueller was Spring. I hated them for it and her. Even 75 years later. Well. sort of.
